To present a comprehensive chronicle of the evolution of aviation in Scotland would be a tall order, in particular if the end result was to be a book that you and I could both afford and at the same time carry without risking personal physical injury. Consequently this small book is intended to offer an economic distillation of our aeronautical history, achievements and inventions in a form that shall be accurate, concise and, perforce, of use to you.
