Woman taken to hospital following road accident

A woman has been taken to hospital this morning, following road accident involving two cars on the A965 road between Kirkwall and Stromness.

According to Police Scotland, they were contacted at 11.15am today, with a report that the accident had taken place near the road’s junction to Orphir.

No further information has been given on the woman’s condition and the road remains closed.
