Award-winning writer in the county

Award-winning writer, Bernard MacLaverty is currently visiting Orkney and will be visiting Kirkwall Grammar School today, on Wednesday, where he will be running a workshop in creative writing with senior pupils.

Mr MacLaverty is to be Orkney Arts Society’s first literary guest of the season, when he will give a reading at the Pier Art Centre in Stromness at 7.30pm.
