Stromness launch for Sylvia Wishart book

A major new book on the art of Orcadian artist Sylvia Wishartis launched at the Pier Arts Centre, Stromness, today, Saturday.

Sylvia Wishart – a study is published by the Pier Arts Centre and is the first comprehensive survey of the artist’s work and contains over 100 full colour illustrations that range from her earliest drawings to her late, large-scale paintings that capture the vista of the Hoy hills and Pentland Firth from her home outside Stromness.

The book, which was printed at The Orcadian, will be available to purchase from the centre from today, Saturday, July 21, priced £25.
