Stromness and Holm contest 2015 Parish Cup

One of the biggest fixtures on Orkney’s football calender kicks off this evening — with Holm  and Stromness due to contest The Orcadian Parish Cup final.

In what has been one of the most unpredictable and exciting Parish Cups in years, both teams are hoping to end long waits for the famous trophy — 15 years for Holm; while Stromness last lifted the cup in 1986, 29 years ago.

For the first time since 2006, a name other than St Ola or Sandwick will be engraved on the cup, giving the final an intriguing edge.

The Orcadian Parish Cup final is due to kick off at Pickaquoy at 6.45pm this evening, Saturday.
