Roundabout resurfacing work to begin

Work to resurface Ayre Mills roundabout is to get underway today, Monday, October 11.

The road works on the roundabout is being carried out in two phases.

The first phase of the works will involve closing the access on to the roundabout from Pickaquoy Road and Hatston Brae with a signed diversion route via Crowness Crescent, Grainshore Road, Ayre Road and Junction Road.

The second phase will then close the Grainshore Road and Ayre Road accesses on to the roundabout with diversions via Crowness Crescent, Hatston Brae, Pickaquoy Road and Junction Road.

The council wishes to apologies for delays and inconvenience caused during the resurfacing of the roundabout, and once again thank the public for their understanding as we carry out this important work.

Works recently publicised to start on the A961 through St Marys, Holm on Monday, October 11, will now not start on that date.

Updates will be provided as above when the new start date is available.
