Road disruptions due in Kirkwall

Openreach is asking road users to avoid certain areas in Kirkwall this weekend, as the company will be carrying out work which will disrupt traffic.

The work is to be carried out from tomorrow, Friday, until Sunday, on Union Street and the Clay Loan, from the junction of Junction Road to the junction of Earl Thorfinn Street.

An Openreach spokesman has said to minimise disruption, the company will avoid working on the junction of Union Street and Junction Road on Saturday between 9am and 6pm and will be on site for the shortest period possible.
