Regional tourism awards open for entries

The Ring of Brodgar is one of many historic sites which attract tourists in Orkney.

The Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards (HITA) are back for 2022, and businesses across Orkney are being urged to enter.

As the sector emerges from the unprecedented turmoil of the pandemic, the awards will be a time to celebrate the resilience, innovation and perseverance of tourism and hospitality businesses.

You can either enter your own business, or nominate your favourite firm for an award.

Nominations are open until May 27, with entries closing on June 10.

The awards’ 15 categories cover every aspect of the tourism and hospitality industry, including a new award celebrating climate champions, sponsored by Royal Bank of Scotland.
