Recycling centres to close at weekends

Orkney Islands Council has issued a reminder that the Bossack and Cursiter Quarry recycling centres will be closed at weekends from tomorrow.

The other three recycling centres at Garson, Hatston and St Margaret’s Hope will be open as usual, from 8.30am to 3.45pm on Saturday, and 10am to 3,45pm on Sunday. All five recycling centres will remain open on weekdays.

The decision to close the centres at Bossack and Cursiter Quarry at weekends will result in savings for OIC through the Tough Times-Tough Choices process, an OIC spokesman added.
