Prolific Orkney fundraiser takes in over £15k for charities

Debbie Delday has raised £15,000 for charities this year alone.

A Dounby woman, known for her prolific fundraising efforts, has beaten her annual record for donations.

Debbie Delday raised a whopping £15,011.56 over the course of 2020, with 12 fundraisers throughout the year supporting eight charities, including CLAN Cancer Support, Orkney Charitable Trust, and the Orkney Foodbank.

This is just a portion of approximately £67,000 Mrs Delday (aka Mrs Fudge), an early years practitioner at Papdale Primary School, has raised since she first threw herself into fundraising efforts in 2007.

What a cracking effort! For the full story, pick up a copy of The Orcadian, this coming Thursday.
