Police begin campaign of vehicle checks

Police will be carrying out increased mobile patrols over the next two weeks.

A Northern Constabulary spokesman said: “The increased patrols will focus on road safety, with particular emphasis on tyres and lights, and will aim to deter inappropriate driver behaviour, whilst providing reassurance and advice on winter driving ahead of this weekend’s clock change.”
