Police appeals for information

Police in Kirkwall are appealing for information on two separate incidents, which took place this month.

Firstly, police are asking to speak to any drivers who may have seen a case of careless driving on the A964 road, near the Houton junction last Saturday.

A green Skoda being driven by a man was reported to police after it overtook carelessly on the blind summit just after the Houton junction, while travelling east towards Kirkwall, at around 9.30am.

Police say the overtake caused two vehicles to brake harshly in order to avoid a collision

Police are also appealing after a silver Honda vehicle parked in The Harray Hall carpark was damaged last week. According to  police, the incident took place on Thursday February 8, between 7.20pm and 10pm.
