Police appeal following airport road accident

An appeal for information has been launched into the circumstances behind a road traffic collision.

Police suspect that a careless overtake caused the accident, which took place on the A960 near Kirkwall airport, last night, Wednesday April 13, and are asking the public to come forward with information.

Officers are interested in a dark coloured car, possibly an Audi, which, it is alleged, overtook two other vehicles, forcing them to take evasive manoeuvres resulting in the collision.

According to police, no injures are reported.
