Orkney win sevens tournament

Orkney won the Orkney Rugby Club’s annual sevens tournament at Pickaquoy on Saturday afternoon.

On a bright, dry, but bitterly cold, day, the hosts beat visitors Peebles 24-0 in the final.

In the plate competition, the Auld Bulls had too much experience for the Lifeguards team, running out eventual winners 32-12.

Tom Croy was awarded the Keith Hutchison Memorial Trophy for best Orkney player on the day.
