Orkney vs Caithness matches re-scheduled

The junior & senior inter-county matches between Orkney & Caithness have been re-scheduled for Saturday July 16, after being cancelled at short notice by Caithness AFA.

OAFA president, Edgar Balfour, said he hoped the re-scheduled matches would prove an attraction for football fans throughout the county with the chance to see the young stars of tomorrow plus the established talent.

Andrew Corsie, senior team manager, said: “We have the friendly against Wick on this Saturday, now its the Archer Shiled game next week, and just two weeks after that we travel to Shetland to take on our friends from the north. It will be quite challenging and we might be looking at some new faces in the ranks – but that is what it is all about.”

The games will be held at the Pickaquoy Centre, with junior kick-off at 11am and senior kick-off at 2pm.
