Orkney RFC hoping to complete back-to-back wins

Graham Poke dives over the line during the defeat to Dumfries Saints two weeks ago.

After ‘running Livingston ragged’ last weekend, Orkney RFC hope to pick up where they left off against Haddington this Saturday.

The only BT National League Division 3 match of the weekend, a victory would lift Orkney above RHC into seventh and see the side complete back-to-back victories for only the second time this season.

Orkney lost to Haddington 26-29 earlier in the season, but speaking to The Orcadian earlier in the week, coach Paul Livingstone believed he had an improved squad at his disposal this time around.

Asked on what type of test Haddington would pose to his side, he said: “They counter-attack very, very well. That’s their strength. If you kick badly, there’s a good chance you’re going to get punished.”

The match will kick-off at 10.30am.
