Orkney residents to be offered help and advice on reducing fuel bills

A nationwide roadshow — part of Citizens Advice support to launch BIG ENERGY WEEK in Scotland — is visiting Orkney this week, offering residents help and advice on how to save money on fuel bills.

During BIG ENERGY WEEK (January 16-21) CAB advisers across the country will be helping people spend less on heating and powering their home.

This includes a series of outreach events visiting 12 local areas across Scotland. The week is supported by Consumer Focus, Which?, Energy UK, Age UK, energy companies, charities, accredited switching sites, Ofgem and the Government.

Orkney’s BIG ENERGY WEEK event will take place in the foyer of Kirkwall Town Hall between 12pm and 2pm on Friday, January 20, where local advisors will be on hand to offer householders free advice and calculations on whether they could save money on fuel bills.
