Orkney musicians nominated for Trad Album of the Year
Two Orcadian musicians are on the longlist for Scotland’s Trad Album of the Year award.
Included in the nominations are eclectic four-piece The Poozies, whose line up includes Hoy fiddler Sarah McFadyen, for their album Punch.
Also listed are folk supergroup, Blazin’ Fiddles, which includes Birsay fiddle player Kristan Harvey in its ranks.
The annual awards, run by Hands Up For Trad, have often seen Orkney musicians make it to the shortlist. Nominations for the 17 other categories is now open on www.
