Orkney Meat name new general manager

Orkney Meat has announced the appointment of Orcadian Kelly Coghill as the company’s new general manager.

Company chairman Stewart Wood said they had received a considerable number of applications, particularly from south, and some with extensive experience in the red meat sector.

However, the board felt it was important for a key company in the local agricultural sector to be represented by someone deeply committed to farming in Orkney.

Mr Wood said: “Kelly Coghill has demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment, and has a great passion for Orkney and its agricultural heritage.”
