Karl Adamson (centre), assisted by Alex Leonard (left), Kevin Groundwater (right) and Graeme Hamilton (missing) is preparing to make his bow in the dugout for Orkney this weekend.

Karl Adamson will make his debut in the dugout for Orkney tomorrow afternoon with the county football side set to travel down to Dingwall to face Uist and Barra.

In what was originally billed as a friendly, the fixture has now been switched to a competitive affair and looks set to become a regular fixture in the calendar with the Western Isles side now sourcing a cup.

Acting as preparation for the side’s build-up to the Archer Shield, Milne Cup and Green Challenge Cup clashes later on in the summer, Mr Adamson recently told The Orcadian that he hoped to pick players on form rather than reputation, something he hoped would reinvigorate the county set-up.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 1.30pm at the Highland Football Academy, Dingwall.
