OIC advise of refuse collections delay

Orkney Islands Council is advising that some of today’s refuse collections may not be completed by this evening.

The council say this is due to crews covering additional routes and having extra refuse to pick up after the festive period.

The authority also says that while crews will attempt to collect as much as possible, any refuse not picked up today will be collected on Friday instead.

The patience and co-operation of residents is greatly appreciated.
