NorthLink launch new booking app
NorthLink Ferries has launched a new mobile booking app to offer customers an additional digital platform to view timetables and book sailings.
Now available for smartphone and tablet users, the app is a new and additional way to get to and from the Northern Isles.
Designed to reflect the increasing number of visitors to the isles — up 10 per cent according to latest NorthLink Ferries’ reports — and to support regular island customers as they seek to book on the go, the app mirrors the shift in people’s digital behaviour.
Stuart Garrett, Serco’s managing director of NorthLink Ferries, said: “With more people increasingly looking to be able to do more online with the brands they engage with, we knew it was time to introduce a new digital channel to support our customers in the booking process.
“Our digital team have been working hard with software developer Corethree Limited for the past few months to deliver our new booking app, allowing us to help our customers book and sail at the touch of a button.”
