NHS Orkney chief executive to leave by the end of year
NHS Orkney chief executive, Cathie Cowan is to leave the county for a post as chief executive officer with NHS Forth Valley.
Ms Cowan, who has been in the role for almost eight years, will leave before the end of the year.
Discussions are already underway to appoint a new chief executive for NHS Orkney, according to chairman, Ian Kinniburgh, who has praised Ms Cowan’s personal contribution to NHS Orkney, with particular reference to her role in securing the new hospital and health care facility.
