New Post Office to be trialled in Stromness

Post Office Ltd confirmed today that a new post office service will be trialled in Stromness, in premises a short distance away from its current location.

Following the end of the formal period of public consultation, and having received a small number of comments from customers which centred on privacy, a reduced range of transactions and staff not being fully trained, the new service will open in premises at Argo’s Bakery, 50 Victoria Street.

The current service will close at 5.15pm on July 27, and the newly located service will open at 7.30am on July 29.
