New clothing store set for Kirkwall?

It appears that Kirkwall may be set to welcome a new national retail store in the near future.

Fashion retail chain Peacocks has recently published a job advert via the UK Government careers portal looking for a manager to run its “new store in Kirkwall.” Another advert seeks an assistant store manager.

The Orcadian has contacted Peacocks for comment, but is yet to receive confirmation of any plans for an Orkney store.
