Lock your doors, say police

Police are reminding homeowners and businesses to secure their property to prevent thefts.

There have been a number of occasions recently when unsecured premises have been entered and items taken, according to officers.

Police would also  like to encourage anyone seeing anyone acting suspiciously throughout Orkney to report the incident to Kirkwall police on 872241 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
