Kickstart your project with LEADER funding

A funding scheme, which has already supported 65 projects in Orkney to the tune of £1.87 million, is now looking to commit its remaining funds – with local groups being urged to make sure they don’t miss the boat.

The Orkney LEADER Programme – which has also brought in another £2.89m worth of match funding from public and private sources – closes for applications at the end of 2013.

But although the fund is open to 2013, the OIC is keen to get the remaining money committed as soon as possible. The next deadline date for submission of applications is October 19 2012.
