Nautical Lecturer

The NAFC Marine Centre wishes to recruit a suitably qualified person to join its team of nautical lecturers. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing a variety of nautical training courses, including HNC and HND Nautical Science courses. This may include both theoretical and practical training, and the use of ship-bridge simulator.

Applicants should be have a minimum of a UK Officer of the Watch (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency (STCW II/1), relevant seagoing experience, and knowledge of the legislation affecting merchant ships.

The salary will be in the range £27,000 to £39,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG Scheme) or undergo a PVG Scheme Update.
