Information sought as vehicle damage investigated

Police are investigating the damage of a vehicle in Kirkwall, and are appealing to the public for information.

According to police, the collision took place on George Street between 9.30pm on Tuesday, August 9, and 7.40am on Thursday, August 11.

A that time, a blue Renault Clio was parked facing eastwards on the westbound side of the road close to the junction with Dundas Crescent. Police report that the nearside of the Clio has been struck and extensively damaged by what is believed to be a white coloured vehicle.

No report of the collision has been received by officers from the driver of the white vehicle.

According to police, the suspect vehicle is highly likely to have sustained damage to the front nearside and it is also highly likely that blue paint will have been transferred
onto it as a result of the collision.
