In this week’s The Orcadian

This week’s edition of The Orcadian is now in shops and is available online, here.

This week’s front-page features the views of Councillor Dr Stephen Clackson who claims a “chummy clique” is restricting effective governance within Orkney Islands Council.

Referred to as “The Cabal” by the North Isles councillor, he also expressed his concern at the lack of accountability within the council.

OIC leader Councillor James Stockan said councillors’ voting record “speaks for itself” and praised the “diversity” among members as a “great strength” in the way which council business is conducted.
