Hearing to be held for Stromness care home worker

A care worker, who was employed at the council-run care home in Stromness, is to appear before a hearing next week to answer to a series of allegations.

The employee, Matus Horvath, worked at St Peter’s House as a social care assistant.

The allegations against him, which date back to June 2015, include placing his hands around a service user’s neck, shouting at the service user, stroking her face and looking at her underwear.

He is also alleged to have acted inappropriately towards other service users and made a number of inappropriate statements to other members of staff.

A hearing is to be held by the Scottish Social Services Council from Tuesday onwards, next week.
