Friday deadline for development plan comments

Consultation for the Orkney Local Development Plan ends on Friday, June 24, at 5pm.

Orkney Islands Council planning manager, Gavin Barr, said: “The consultation process to date has been full and engaging, with members of the public getting involved at every stage —  whether coming to speak to us at the One Stop Shop over the last nine weeks of the consultation or attending one of our consultation events.

“The council will now have to consider the representations that have been received before preparing for the formal Scottish Government examination process which we are targeting for the latter part of this year.”

Copies of the Proposed Plan and Proposed Supplementary Guidance can be found  at www.orkney.gov.uk, at the Kirkwall and Stromness libraries, the OIC One-Stop Shop in Kirkwall and the Stromness Cash Office.
