Final day of competition in Gibraltar

A group of Orkney fans enjoy the Island Games in Gibraltar.

Today is the final day of competition at the 2019 NatWest International Island Games.

Before the Games come to a close in the evening however, there are still Orkney athletes in competition.

Orkney’s male and female 4 x 100-metre relay sides are in action as is Tegan Spence who is running in the 800-metre final.

The women’s 4 x 400-metre relay side will also take to the track on a busy final day.

Michael Drever is shooting in the olympic trap qualification round and small-bore shooters Donald Sinclair and Bobby Spence will both shoot in the 50-metre prone individual event.

The final two matches of squash team event will take place with Orkney aiming for fifth spot.

The closing ceremony will take place at 8pm, bringing the 18th multi-sport spectacle to a close for another two years.
