Fashion exhibition takes a walk “doon memory lane”

An exhibition exploring Stromness’ fashion history is now on show at The Commercial Hotel, Stromness, as part of the town’s Per Mare celebrations.
Doon Memory Lane, which opened last Saturday, June 3, gives Orkney’s fashion enthusiasts a peek at what folk in the town were wearing from 19th Century up until the present day.
As well as featuring a selection of evening dresses and wedding dresses, the garments of Shopping Week Queens and attendants past are on display until the end of next month.
