Dounby Show day is here!

Overall Champion in the cattle section at last year’s Dounby Show, a heifer calf owned and handled by Liam Muir of Upper Onston, Stenness.

The Dounby Show kicks off today, in the West Mainland, with all the best livestock and produce from the area on show.

One of Orkney’s two biggest agricultural shows, along with the County Show, the Dounby Show also incorporates fairground rides, crafts stalls, entertainment and food stalls.

The show begins with the Horse section judging from 9am, swiftly followed by the cattle, goat, poultry and sheep sections getting underway.

The West Mainland Flower, Produce & Industrial Show is also open from 10am, in the Dounby centre.
