Deadline for Loves Local card entries extended

As a result of the gale force winds sweeping across Orkney today, the deadline to get your entries into the Loves Local card competition has been extended.

Shoppers now have until 9am on Monday morning to get their entries in.

People can drop their completed cards off at either The Orcadian office at Hatston or The Orcadian Bookshop. There is also a letterbox at the Hatston office folk can post their entries throughout the weekend.

Over the last couple of months, shoppers have been busy, filling up their cards with the all important stickers to be in with a chance to win a £1,900 prize, in the drive to support local shops and businesses.

All shoppers have to do is spend £10 on five separate occasions in any of the 95 retailers taking part in the competition.

The draw to discover the lucky recipient of the cash prize pot will be made shortly after the new 9am deadline and revealed in next week’s The Orcadian.
