Companies invited to complete Orkney-wide business survey

Businesses are being asked about their future prospects in the biggest survey of its kind to be run in Orkney.

The aim of the OIC survey is to explore the experiences of companies large and small in the current economic climate and identify the challenges they face.

“The survey will deliver invaluable information about the impact locally of the challenging economic conditions we’re experiencing,” said Councillor Ian Johnstone, chairman of the OIC’s development and regeneration committee.

“The responses will help us identify the key issues affecting business in our community and will be used to enable the most efficient and effective use of the support resources we can provide.

“I would like to encourage as many local firms as possible to take part – it’s a chance for them to highlight any barriers that could affect their future prospects.”

The Orkney Business Survey can be completed electronically at www.surveymonkey.com/s/orkneybusinesssurvey2012

The survey will be open until March 15, 2012. Once the findings are analysed, a copy of the summary report will be widely available.
