Children’s Writer Visits Orkney Schools

Janis Mackay, author of the trilogy about underwater selkie hero Magnus Fin, is currently in Orkney to promote, Magnus Fin and the Selkie Secret — which is the final book of the trilogy. She is visiting Papdale Primary School today and St Andrews School tomorrow.

The first book in the trilogy — Magnus Fin and the Ocean Quest, won the Kelpies prize in 2009.

Janis will be appearing at the Orcadian Bookshop in Kirkwall, on Saturday September 8,  between 2pm and 3.30pm,  to sign copies of her book.
