The ‘bright light in the evening sky’

Venus imaged March 9 at 14h 16m UT. A 1/500 second exposure, Canon IXUS 300 digital camera, 100 mm apochromatic refractor.

As the planet approaches conjunction with the Sun on March 25, Venus is visible in both the morning and the evening skies. Next week’s The Orcadian will have a special feature on these events.
