Cruise ship to make extra call in Kirkwall

The cruise ship Aegean Odyssey is to make a previously unexpected call in Kirkwall on Tuesday. The ship, which will be carrying approximately 430 passengers, will arrive at 8am and depart at 1pm.   The ship will tie up at Hatston, having travelled from Reykjavik, sailing on to Tilbury afterwards..

The Orcadian Bookshop will have a special visitor this afternoon, as Glaswegian author Francis J. Glynn drops in to meet readers. The author’s book, Veneer of Manners, is a murder mystery set in Orkney. He will be at the bookshop between 3pm and 4pm today.
