The Uppies claimed victory in today’s Boys’ Ba’.

After a long contest, starting at 10am, the ba’ finally hit the wall at Mackinson’s Corner shortly before 12.50pm.

Within a very short time, 15-year-old Andrew Mulraine, of Claymore Court, Kirkwall, was held aloft by his team mates and named the winner.

This marks the first Uppie victory in the Boys’ Ba’ in almost five years.

The last Uppie to win the boys’ game was Aiden Drever at the New Year Boys’ Ba’ in 2011.
