Pullet takes the prize in County Poultry Section

Stephen Hutchison, from Finstown, took home the prize for Best Poultry exhibit at this year’s County Show with his February-born large white Wyandotte Pullet.

Stephen has taken home the top prize in previous years, but said he had been surprised to win through this year against such strong competition, particularly the reserve champion — a white call duck belonging to Bryan Taylor.

“It was unexpected, because I really thought the duck would win,” he said.

“The poultry competition is really massive here at County.”
