Pedestrian killed in West Mainland traffic collision
Police Scotland have confirmed that a male pedestrian was killed at the scene of this morning’s traffic collision in the West Mainland.
According to police, the collision involved a truck and took place on the A967 Stromness to Birsay road. Police were called at 10.10am this morning.
Police have confirmed that the man died at the scene and his next of kin have been made aware.
The road will remain closed until a collision investigation has been completed.
