Orkney FC to enjoy home comforts v Tain St. Duthus

Orkney hope to finish 2016 on a high, with three points against Tain St. Duthus.

Orkney FC are set to play their first home match in over two months this Saturday, as they seek to finish 2016 on a high against Tain St. Duthus.

Not since Orkney’s 5-2 victory over Alness United on Saturday, October 8, has Orkney’s football fans seen their team play at home, with a mixture of breaks and three successive away matches. Orkney however, should relish a break from the tiring away trips as they hope for three points against fifth-placed Tain.

North Caledonian League leaders Invergordon are six points clear of second-placed Orkney having played a game more, with the leaders kicking off at 1pm away to Thurso on Saturday. Orkney will be aiming to take full advantage of any dropped points by the leaders.

Goals from Chris Simpson and Mark Berry at the end of October saw Orkney win a hard-fought first ever encounter between the two sides, and they will be hoping to extend their fantastic home record as St. Duthus travel to Orkney for the first time.

The match is set to kick-off at 12.30pm, at KGS 3G.
