Man in ‘serious condition’ after Kirkwall Pier Head incident

A man, who was pulled from waters around Kirkwall’s Pier head on Sunday, is believed by police to be in a “serious condition” following the incident.

The man, who was pulled from the water by members of the public just before 5pm, was transported to Kirkwall’s Balfour Hospital directly after the incident and later taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he remains.
