Do you know where your polling station is?

With just two weeks to go until the local council elections, voters are being reminded to check where their polling station is.

The polling station is noted on your polling card and a list of polling stations is available on the Council website, along with a list of the candidates standing for election.

Voters in Evie and Rendall will be using the new Evie Primary School building, accessing the polling station through the main entrance.

Temporary car parking arrangements are currently in place at the school and on polling day car parking attendants will be on site to ensure that those with a Blue Badge or mobility issues can access a space close to the school entrance.

There is no vote in the Stromness and the South Isles ward. The three candidates who stood for the three seats available – Rob Crichton, James Stockan and Magnus Thomson – will become councillors on May 4.

Polling stations open at 7am on Thursday, May 4, and close at 10pm.

The election count takes place the following day, with results expected by lunchtime.
