Cruise ship to arrive early
The cruise ship Black Watch, which was due to arrive in Orkney on Sunday, is now to arrive earlier than planned, and is expected in around 8pm tonight, Saturday.
The vessel – which can carry just under 900 passengers – has had a slight change in its itinerary, cancelling a visit to Portree today, due to poor weather in the area.
The ship will tie up at Hatston Pier, and a shuttle bus service will be in operation from tonight to transport passengers into Kirkwall Town Centre.
• There are also five smaller class of cruise ship visiting Orkney today, three in Kirkwall, and two in Stromness, between them carrying 700 passengers.
