 St Mary’s 

7.30 pm  Tree lighting

Wednesday, November 29  

 Stromness

5.45 pm  Salvation Army Brass Band play at the Pier head.
6.00 pm  Tree lighting
7.30 pm  Concert in the Church of Scotland, featuring local and "The Norwegian-Swedish Group" from Hordaland

 Stenness

6.45 pm  Tree lighting, followed by music in the Community Centre, including "The Norwegian-Swedish Group" from   Hordaland

Friday, December 1  

 Orphir

5.00 pm  Tree lighting, followed by music in the Community Centre including "The Norwegian-Swedish Group"  from            Hordaland           

 Dounby

6.15 pm  Tree lighting featuring Kirkwall Town Band, followed by other events in the  Plout Kirn

 Finstown

6.45 pm  Tree lighting featuring Kirkwall Town Band, followed by music with the Primary School Choir and "The Norwegian-    Swedish Group" from Hordaland

 St Margaret's Hope

7.00 pm  Tree lighting in Cromarty Square
7.45 pm  "Bingo, Music and Magic" in the Cromarty Hall

Saturday, December 2  

 Kirkwall

5.30 pm  Kirkwall City Pipe Band on Broad Street
5.55 pm  Procession of official party from the Town Hall to the Cathedral
6.00 pm  St Lucy Procession, programme of music and carols featuring "The Norwegian-Swedish Group" from Hordaland, tthe Winter Choir, Kirkwall Town Band and the Orkney   Traditional Music Project in St Magnus Cathedral
7.00 pm  Hordaland Tree and Festive Lights switch-on by Hordaland Convener, Mrs Torill Selsvord Nyborg
7.30 pm  ONFA Family Buffet and Dance, Kirkwall Town Hall

Sunday, December 3  

 St Magnus Cathedral

11.15 am At the morning Service, the Christmas tree (a gift from the Fjaere Kirk, Grimstad, to the congregation) will be lit by Mr Hans Ole Ziegler, Chief Executive of Grimstad Council.
7.30 pm  Concert featuring music by "The Norwegian-Swedish Group" from Hordaland and the Mayfield Singers; and in the   second half the St Magnus Festival Chorus, Orkney Camerata and other local musicians will perform Benjamin Britten's "St Nicholas".
