Laura Grimond Awards 2003
(Story dated: September 29, 2003)

The winners of the 2003 Laura Grimond awards were announced this afternoon.

The awards, run by Orkney Heritage Society, aim to encourage. promote and recognise outstanding building and renovation work that retains and enhances the character of old Orkney buildings.

The awards are not a competition with one overall winner but are instead meant to be an appreciation of the hard work of those working on old buildings or designing new ones.
