The results announced by adjudicator Morna Barron in Orkney Arts Theatre on Friday night were as follows:

  • Challenge Cup - First Place - Palace Players - Footprints in the Sand
  • Firth Trophy - Second Place - Stromness Drama Club - The Hardman (act one)
  • A. C. Hunter Cup - Third Place - Stromness Drama Club (Junior) - Spud Ferret and the Case of the Stolen Diamonds
  • The Orcadian Youth Trophy - Stromness Drama Club (Junior) - Spud Ferret and the Case of the Stolen Diamonds
  • St Magnus Parish Trophy - St Andrews Drama Club - La Donna Immobile
  • George Scott Cup for best stage setting - Stromness Drama Club (Junior) - Spud Ferret and the Case of the Stolen Diamonds
  • Jean Campbell Memorial Trophy - Stromness Drama Club - The Hardman (act one)
  • North Isles Cup - Rousay Drama Club - A Jolly Sinister Jape

Orkney have been awarded three places in the Divisional Finals which will be held in Dunkeld at the end of the month, but as only one team from each club can progress to the next round, and as Stromness were second and third, the fourth placed team will have the opportunity of going as well. Fourth placed were St Andrews Drama Club.

Stromness Drama Club's junior team, although losing out on going to the divisionals, will represent Orkney at the Northern Division's Youth Festival in Arbroath.
